The number 1827 could not be a date since Wedderburn was not born until 1869.
More likely, 1827 represented a number created by Wedderburn to further his fraud; maybe the number of his latest sucker.

Found today. Six inches down; using five-inch coil on Fisher CZ3D.
Rip-off realm ... dating back to 1827. This company (disbarred in the 1890s) accepted inventions -- and kept the good ones. The inventor got a nice pin ... no profit. The engraved name on the back seems to be C.W. McGuhle.

Man , that's just Cool as heck....I love it.:icon_thumleft:
