I posted this a couple of years ago in What Is It and what I'm asking for now is if anyone can give a guess on age. It's a dime sized Alpha Omega charm from a churchyard that dates to 1700s. The simple design and patina makes me think 1800s but I would like opinions. I'm going back to the church to ask for permission and I'd like to show the pastor now that it's cleaned up, 2 years later. Thank you all.

Even though it's stamped STERLING it sure doesn't look like it.
Sorry I'm no help on the age.

Thanks for takin a look. Yeah the silver definitely isn't showing anymore. I hesitate to dunk it in any jewelry cleaners.

Yeah
I wouldn't dunk it either.
Just looked like it may have been a plated piece that the plating wore off.

A copper-silver alloy would look like that after many years in the ground. Found a couple of silver/copper coins some time back over here and they looked like that first, I cleaned them with baking soda, soap and a toothbrush. Don't dip it... never do that the result is catastrophic, I speak out of experience.
I would clean it the way I described above, a bit of the patina stays in all the crevices of the decorations that way and it will still look old and cool.

I think this is a mixed Alpha&Omega pendant.. I mean it has the Christian "Α & Ω" symbolism in it but also the mason compass and square hidden in the letters.
A very beautiful design, I'd say it looks Victorian to me.

Thanks for the great cleaning advice and the info. I will call it Victorian era.

I agree with yaxthri. The decoration is very Victorian as is the way the characters intertwine. I would guess late 19th C.
