Airplane heard ornament

Did you try loosening the 2 screws shown in the first pic? The ones on the bottom of the fuselage? That's the photo I wanted to see. The insides. To see if there is actually a place for a light bulb. I'm still not convinced on the age yet. But I do like it, alot.

Here's some more photos with the wings off so you can see the light on the inside it's just the light I had laying around it's not the actual one that goes to it I posted it on the car forum to see if anybody can give me some more advice about it thanks for all y'all's help

Now I understand. I thought the light was coming from the flashlight you had propped it on, doh. Sorry about that. That second shot showing the holes for the wires convinces me. That and the base plate does appear to show some age too in that same photo. I'll retract my original (shoot from the hip) statement of "I believe you have a reproduction made piece". It just looked "too new", I guess that's because it's in such great shape. Here is a nice little article you may want to read- http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/62251-illuminated-biplane-radial-engine-car

So it could be worth up to two grand?

Well I thought I had a really good one but I guess a few hundred bucks even more is not bad for $25 investment and considering the other guy had it already in his hands and put it down:) Thanks again for your help
