Age of these pottery shards and a brick?

The brick i took directly off the top of a well im excavating (it was loose anyways) and the pottery shards were found in the well. Trying to find a general age of the well. Any info is appreciated!

It would be helpful to know what part of the country you found the brick in Andrew.
I can tell you that I've found similar fragments of ceramic pottery here in Ontario on sites dating from the 1840 - 60 period.

There should be a brick expert here who can give you an approximate date of your brick frag too.
