ACE 250 & SunRay Probe

Hi all,

I thought Iwould post my thoughts on the ACE 250 and the SunRay Probe. They are two fine
metal detectors. Your thinking he said two detectors. Yep that's what I said. The ACE 250
is a GREAT Detector and the SunRay Probe is a great detector. The two to together are a great
combination. The ACE goes so darn deep and sounds out those weak signals so lound that you just
have to have a SunRay Probe to get down to the goodies.

Once you use a probe with the ACE, you will never leave home without it. I use the SunRay Probe
because it is mounted right on the detector. It uses the detector's batteries to run it. You don't have to carry it in a bouch on in a bag or in your back pocket. It is right there on your machine.

The Sun Ray Invader YF-1 Probe, can be used on the Garrett ACE 150. ACE 250, And the Garrett
GTP and GTAx series. Just a flip of a switch. \

I have found many great items with the ACE 250 and as you can see from some of my posts this
past month, this machine will go DEEP and with the SunRAy Probe it is so much easier to find the
object in the hole.

Re: ACE 250 & SunRay Probe

ringfinder, I was wondering if you tried the Sunray probe with all 3 coils that the ACE 250 uses? If so, what were the differences, etc? Monty

Re: ACE 250 & SunRay Probe

Hi Monty, sorry I didn't get back with an answer. No I haven't used the SunRay Probe
with the other coils. I only have the one coil that came with the machine. I guess maybe
someday I might bye a smaller coil, just for trashy areas, but for now am very satisfied with
the coil that came with the ACE 250. I'm going 5,6,7,8 and 9 inches deep in wet soil, don't think
I need to go much deeper. LOL, might hit China! If you dig a small hole for a coin and you find
that it is 6 or 7 inches deep, you need a pinpointer to find the coin. I hate to watch guys dig a
manhole for a dime. We have to remember we are digging for a coin not a treasure chest and
it is in someone's yard, not our own. In fact if it was my own yard I wouldn't dig a big hole the
size of a 55 gallon drum lid, just to find a dime. Remember guys, bigger coils don't mean bigger
holes, they just mean maybe a deeper coin. HH, Ringfinder
