AA Reachargeable Batteries - Recommendations?

My experience has been the exact opposite...I guess it depends on the brand.

Radio Shack and Harbor Freight bargain batteries last every bit as long as the name brands. Batteries all come from a very few manufacturers - they just put different labels on them. If you like to pay more for the Duracell label, that's up to you.

Here's another newsflash - the same goes for car batteries. I have a buddy who works in the Sears Auto Center, and the Sears Die Hard batteries come off the same truck as the Walmart Everstart batteries.

That's similar to a lot of things you buy though, especially computers/laptops; the difference between a Sears DieHard and a Walmart special is most likely going to come down to warranty and the customer service and support you would receive in the event something goes wrong.

As an update, I bought two sets of the Panasonic Eneloops. We'll see if they're all that and a bag of nachos!

Panisonic makes a really good AA rechargeable if you can find them.

I use alkalines, but fly R/C and the Sanyo eneloop rechareables have a loyal following among r/c pilots.
