Update: possible Woods Hibernia? It looks good;)

I hit a nice seemingly virgin foundation today with EastCoastHunter21. The conditions were atrocious being 34 degrees, 30 knot winds and pouring rain, but some nice signals were there. I believe I found a Connecticut copper, 1787. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1459903140.882070.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1459902997.598807.jpg

An 1838 large cent, another thin crusty cooper, and some Indians including an 1875. Most of the copper was badly Roached...

My favourite find was an decorative orange gilt ornamental. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1459903233.395260.jpg and an open ended early thimble. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1459903256.625933.jpg

Some wagon parts and huge reed made up the day.

Also a shoe buckle with the innards with the leather attached...ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1459903474.829022.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1459903492.055896.jpg

Also a late addition.

Little girls boot heel?

Anyway, a successful hunt with part of my crew, The Basstards of Bramble. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1459903563.473967.jpg

Enjoy and Good digs

Steve

Heck of a hunt man, I believe I would hunt in a hurricane to find a lot of nice stuff like that. wtg. Would be heading back directly.
Hey thanks for taking a look. In a believer that in both fishing and metal detecting, the nice big ones come out in the crappiest weather.
Well done Scrappy. You and Eastcoasthunter21 are on a hot spot. Hope you guys get back under better weather conditions.
Congrats
I think Bartek and Charlie are there today. Sunny, no wind, 50's. The polar opposite of Monday's weather.
Coppers ...shoe buckle ..that's my kind of hunt...great finds.... congrats
No complaints. We know there's a lot more there. But most of the area is covered by broken trees and bramble. We'll need to do some clearing which I think is worth the time.
Nice finds buddy, hard core wet hunting, cold too I bet? Good work!
Sweatpants wouldn't have cut it yesterday! Lol
Amazing stuff Scrappy! Some crazy conditions for hunting but we'd all brave those conditions for finds like that. :laughing7: That's what makes us different from everyone else. We treasure hunters are a strange breed. :tongue3: Best of luck on the return hunt. Sounds like a place like that could produce a lot more.

I agree completely Evo. Taking part of a day off in a wet freezing Nor'easter just to find wagon parts and crusty coppers could get you committed to an asylum in some Countries...lol

Another killer skeleton key! And lots of other stuff too. You fellows are putting a hurting on that sticker patch!

Best of luck to you brother!

Thanks Tom. I have some great 1700's and 1700's foundation spots ready for you and Smittymans trip up. Looking forward brother!

Awesome finds Steve. You sure found quite a few relics. Love the Conn. copper. I have yet to dig 2 LCs in a single hunt. Congrats on the successful hunt.

That must have been a very hard time hunt, but the results were great.I like the old key best.

that one caught my eye too for a second there, I think it is a 75.

**** you're right. Clearly a 5 when I viewed it on the computer instead of my phone. Oops. Great finds nonetheless! !

Killer day! Lots of great finds, and I'm really surprised no one mentioned the Indian Head penny! 1877 key date!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for looking Kevin. It was a good time. There was more finds such as d-buckles, hinges, and the nameplate to the house, but I couldn't clean them in time.

It was a difficult hunt buddy but when that colonial bait is dangling in front of you. Rain or shine! Lol

Hey thanks for looking. That boot heal is definitely an interesting piece. I've never seen one that small

We've been finding a lot of leather. The copper is in worse shape than the leather here! Lol. But I agree, I've never seen any leather on a buckle. Broken strap?
