I don't know what is more common: the small cent or the large cent. I found this 1940 Newfoundland small cent. It is the same size as a US/CAN penny. Usually, they come out of the ground in a rough condition; but this one is in the best condition yet!

Was out there on a trip this summer for the first time. Great place. I didn't have much time for detecting at all. I was mostly in the Corner Brook and surrounding area the whole time. Would love to check out the St. johns side next time. You ever make it out here to Nova Scotia?
 

I only been in Nova Scotia during a stop over at the airport in Halifax.
