My treasure hunting has been limited to Coinstar reject trays, Dirt Cups, and random loose change at the gas station....too hot to beep, and my Z-Lynks crapped out on me....
So while I was fueling up, the self-serve vacuum was right there, so I went a scrounging.....
I've never seen the little service door open before, but today.....JACKPOT!!!

After copious amounts of soap, disinfectant, and a hot shower, I'll add this little bounty to my change bucket.:headbang:

I miss metal detecting.

I bet rings and all kinds of cool stuff gets sucked into those vacuums. Kinda makes me want to open a car wash!

c'mon Dave---suck it up
I was out today----sweatin' like Mike Tyson takin' a math test :tongue3:

got $5 in CRAD & the air was so thick you could spread it on a bagel :icon_biggrin::sad11:

Yea Ace, I know....
June thru Sept is my busiest time at work, along with the hottest time of year.... Weekend mornings my get up and go has been getting up and leaving without me.

LOL.....Reminds me of my mid teens.....That's where we would get our cig money and ummmm on a real good day maybe beer money! The local car wash up the street. They had about 8 of those vacs and we would raid those little doors often. :laughing7: We would also lift the grates out of the car wash, when people dropped quarters sometimes the would bounce under the car and into the drain. Another one was a yard stick under pop or vending machines to get the quarters people dropped.

Either way! Money is money! Makes for a good day!

Dave...

Laundromats usually have a fan or two... some even have AC...

Always a coat hanger around...

And you can get the same sort of "miX" from under the washers. :P

The first step is to admit your an addict! But seriously, now I feel the need to wash my car. I love free stuff wherever it can be found. Is it wrong that I walk my dog to the dairy queen drive through window every night?

Well whilst you guys are at it...

Strip club parking lots have been known to give an array of goodies. heh

Now there is some dedication Dave. I would do the same thing with my own wet/dry vac. After the kids vacuumed their cars, I would go looking thru it and usually found a few bucks in change. God forbid they picked up their coins before they were sucked into the abyss !!

make frequent visits to the office of your governor, senator, congressman, mayor, dog catcher and any other "official"----
they all have a hidden stash O' cash---- just gotta be "stealthy" to get wealthy :icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin:

Sorry but, I haven't yet sunk to this level of lowness. I have a few back alleys and gutters reserved for desperate times.:-* Get the Lysol and Bic lighter and do the flame thrower method to them finds.:blob8:

I could say, Dave, Yuck those look nasty, but instead, Score!!!:laughing7:

lol... well I am talking money and jewelry scores.

I knew a guy who worked on boats and rode a bike daily...
This guy would constantly find various things in his travels...

He would cut through a large strip club parking lot and occasionally find money.

Good stuff can be found in those, but it looks like someone vacuumed a particularly nasty crusty car or the compartment hadn't been cleaned in ages and lots of wet stuff had been sucked in there, usually the change isn't so gross.

As I recall, I found 2 wheats, a silver dime, and a 0.65g 14K gold and diamond chip heart pendant, along with the usual clad tobacco money. Got tired of sifting through nasty garbage for almost entirely modern change pretty quick, but might have to try it out again in the new town I reside in on a rainy day. A very very rainy day, hah.

And I thought I was bad searching OLD Privies back in the day.:laughing7::dontknow::BangHead:
