The other day I went to find an old swimming hole I used to go to when I was younger. I found signs posted at the end of the road where I used to park stating that "this property is owned by the county of sacramento" " NO TRESPASSING". This type of restriction to recreation areas is happening much more lately largely due to local land owners complaining to authorities about the public using "their" rivers.
This prompted me to do a little research into who actually owns the rivers, and this is what I have found. I encourage you to read this information and pass it along to anyone that may be interested. We are gradually letting a select few people enact regulations that restrict our rights as American Citizens to enjoy our waterways.
