a little update on ammo availability

Still no ammo around for my brothers PD qualifying. They cant even get primers to reload.Anybody have an extra box or two of .357 automag?

I have 2,000+ small magnum pistol primers but I think a PD would be the next to the last folks I'd sell them to. Holder would be the last! :)

I can see your point Packer. But on the other hand my brother is a small town Deputy chief fellow patriot. He goes by constitutional law.I tell him about the crap that goes on in this state, the first words out of his mouth are"They cant do that it goes against the constitution."

Sounds like one of the good ones. Being your brother, I figured he was. :)

I feel bad for anyone who got duped into overpaying for ammo because of the supposed gov conspiracy. Got to think for yourself and always be skeptical folks or your going to get DUPED. Sheeple to the slaughter.

I picked up a couple more hundred rounds of .44 this week to add to my supply......Buying 9mm and .44 when ever I find them and prices are not inflated.

I'm seriously considering a pea shooter.:laughing7:

Some of my friends are stocking up on crossbows, arrows, and searching for hi-velosity BB or pellet guns.

Black Powder. 7000 ozs. per lb.= 70/100 gr shots. And the powder is easily made at home!

$40 for 330 rounds of 22's is gouging in my book. Cabellas had the 525 round boxes for $23.99 but you were only allowed one box per customer. Don't matter to me as I have been buying 22's for a long time and have many thousands of rounds accumulated even though I shoot some once in a while I was still buying more than we were shooting.

Remember buying Peter' 22 RF for $0.50 a box (penny each) up thru the 70's...I could reach into my pocket to get change for the coke machine and have a spatering of ammo in my hand, as well.

Time sure have changed.

Yep, I remember well stefen. To show you how things have changed for me, I just returned to Calif. from a trip to Minn and Iowa. When I emptied my pockets I found I still had $35 worth of $5 chips from the Rainbow Casino in Wendover, NV. :)

Trade ya even for a half box of 22 shorts...:laughing7:

who needs ammo? I got my bear grylls survival knife

What drives the prices up is everyone rushing to buy ammo..hang back..there will be plenty right after hunting season....I keep ammo so long I have box's of 22's from the 1950's I never opened they still have there orginal wax coating on them..no problem in California.

Terry, have you tried buying 762, 223, 9mm or 22 in Calif lately? Like I've said before, at the gun shows, here in CA, they are gouging buyers for a box of 525 22's. They want up to $80-$85. I just got some at Cabelas in Sydney, NE (525 rounds) for $23.99. Could only get one box and they were sold out in 1-1/2 hours. Every once in a while some will show up at Walmart but they are gone by 8am.

The shelves in chinamart where my brother lives have been empty for months. No .22s ,no 12 or 20 gauge,no 9mm,no .357,not much of anything.I believe he said there was a box or two of .30-06.

There is a ton of shotgun stuff at our Wally World but it is either lead 7's and 8's or steel in the larger pellets. Here and there are some lead turkey loads. Cal is outlawing using lead in this state so we have stocked up on it also. The Cabela stores we went to were loaded with shotgun stuff also but 9mm was hard to find even there. I'm sure they get constant shipments so, if you could hang out every morning, you might get lucky.
