Got together this morning with Burdie, Monty, Mental Granny, and grandson to hunt some spots I've gotten permission during the winter.
The brush and thorn trees were a bit of a pain..literally. But everyone persevered and got through it. Monty worked his way through with little blood loss.
and M.G. (Evy) spent a bit of her time playing in the barn finding part of a bridle bit.
and I found an old car....probably some Bonnie and Clyde wannabe's. lol
We decided to head to another old homestead site, but didn't stay long as it was too trashy. Burdie and I had an owl fly out of the house and buzz our heads as well but didn't hear it whisper any names so think we're ok.
So off to the 3rd site which I was told was an old Indian Summer Camp. We checked with the local residents but they were a bit shy and couldn't help us.
So we all took off in different directions trying to locate exactly where it might be on the range. Monty and M.G. discussed some plan of action.
We found several of these little dams or something in the middle of a stream bed. Anybody know exactly what they might be?
Burdie had dug several targets along with some strong false signals that he couldn't locate. Might be easier if the residentual patties dry 1st.
All in all though, it was a great day to get together and hunt. Temperature was near 70 and sunny with a nice breeze (for Oklahoma...15 to 25 MPH is a nice breeze. LOL)
Finds to follow. Thanks for looking and reading. HH!
