What does the Pin mean?

When they built a new building (Church Ect) they usually had a corner stone for the foundation that was dated.

I think the pin is sterling maybe??? no rust or corrosion. Very nice find. Congrats on that sweet dig and the barber. Cool!!

My money is on Brass. Excellent finds anyway you slice it!

It is a little of both (silver plated brass.) The house at one time was a parsonage for the Christian church. I will do some research and see when the church was built.
