Hello my Friends!!

Well, I just had another awesome day at my favorite park this morning. My SE Pro coil was in prime form, helping me to find 8 silver coins ('41 Washington, '46, '48, '49 Rosies, '42(2), '44 Mercs), along with 21 wheaties. Almost every silver/wheat was down between 9-10" in hard/dry soil. I was so tired after digging in that kind of ground for 5 hours this morning. I kept cussing at the ground when I dug down to 8", and my coin was still in the bottom of my hole.:cussing: I was in good company with Curt(Bibleman) and Richard(Smitty) joining me today. Curt kept looking at me and couldn't believe when I told him I had another, and another, and another.... ::) He returned to the car twice, replacing his 1050 coil for his Sunray 12, but he didn't have the "killer" Pro 11". :icon_scratch: He told me it looks like he'll be getting one of those coils soon.

So that makes 22 straight hunts striking silver with the Pro coil in the turf. I kind of ruined my future chances at extending my streak by pulling so many silver out of my good spot today. I should have just stopped at 3 or 4, but my hunting buddies weren't letting up, and it was still only 9:30 in the morning, so I decided to continue. One of my plugs was a double silver: a merc and a rosie at 9.5". Folks, this wasn't a new hunting area...This was an area that has been pounded by me for a few weeks now(once or twice a week), along with my hunting buddies some time ago. I was finding anywhere from 1 to 3 silver, along with a few wheats on each hunt there, but nothing like today! Were the planets all aligned today or something? ;D ;D Sometimes, I can't even figure how there could have been so many deep, diggable signals still waiting to be found from a site that has been worked and re-worked many times over. :icon_scratch:

The 9th silver is a beach toasted '50 Rosie that I found in the surf last Friday at around 10", so it seems no matter where I go, I've been able to find the oldies.

I started to clean my silver coins(the one merc in the right corner), but decided to show the rest of them the way I dug them out of the ground, with just the dirt washed off this time.

Who Needs an E-Trac when you can get results with an SE/SE Pro coil combination? Save your money!! :tongue3:

Thanks for looking!
Keep the Passion High, and your coil low!!

HH,
CAPTN "SE"
Dan

One day when those coins no longer want to come out......I will Procoil the area! Good job Dan! That pro coil seems to be finding what the conventional Explorer coils can't!

You are as your avatar shows you to be.........ON FIRE... Thats quite the haul you've got there dude. Billions of wheaties and millions of silvers ( I tend to exagerate) Keep on a postin.
Chris

Amazing hunt, Dan!!

Congrats on the outstanding finds! It's almost unbelieveable how you're workin' that machine and showing us how it's done! I think you need a promotion to Chief or General! ;D

I have only ever hunted with White's machines, but man after reading your posts day after day and the depth you are getting.,... I am considering switching..... I have went 9 1/2" for a gold wedding band and the same depth for an 1868 IH with my trusty XLT but nothing deeper than that..... man I need to do something different cause I know that the spot where I hit those 2 items still has nice things there.... just deeper than I can go

HOLY MOTHER LODE CAPTN.......Wow another great day at the park...I will soon post another silver find of my own..That makes three in a row....Ametuer I know but still cruisin on up the ladder....WTG again my friend... jgas

Great job Dan!! you sure know how to get the deepies  Who In The Heck Needs An E-Trac? I don't know but I have one coming as a backup detector to my SE with the Pro coil :tongue3: only time will tell :icon_pirat:

The Captain strikes again! You pretty much have me on the SE bandwagon at this point. Great finds!

I'm speechless!!!!!!! Unreal skills captain!

Thanks, EggBag!!

Thanks, KimsDad!! It just takes a lot of practice, and of course a productive area. Look at what Tiger Woods can do with a set of golf clubs...Few, if any, could do the same thing with the same set of clubs! Not totally impossible though on any given day of the year!!

The Explorers are truly deep. It does take time to be able to tell when you have a sub 8" signal, however. When you first get an Explorer, you'll be digging 6" targets, no problem. It will take further mastering to know the difference between a deep coin and a false/iron signal. You'll never know what you've been missing if you don't give it a try!!

You need to change your name to Captn SE Pro Coil ... thumbsup

Congratulations on another outstanding day ...

Just SPLENDORIFFIC ~ Nick

Thanks, Nick!! I'll be thinking about the name change. I like it..."CAPTN SE PRO" !!

Nice digs!

Thanks, MojoRisin!! Good luck to you!!

Thanks, Goio!!! So you got one, huh? I know...sometimes you just gotta test one yourself. I know you've been really successful with your SE/Pro coil setup. Good luck!!

The Captain strikes again! You pretty much have me on the SE bandwagon at this point. Great finds!

Thanks, pjroo33!! That sovereign of yours is a great machine. It should be able to get down to SE depths. Keep practicing and hunting!!

Your posts never cease to amaze me Dan. It's incredible that you can keep pulling silver after silver out of that park. I often think about the parks in my area and how you could do in those parks. I know of one park very close by that is at least 200 years old. Some of the trees in that park are absolutely huge old growth trees and the park is at least 10-15 acres. I might try to channel my inner Capt SE and hunt it one of these days but the colonial sites I've been hitting are pretty addictive too. They always keep me coming back. It's been a while since I've gotten out but with all of the good things that are being found and posted by the Tnet members lately, I'll have to make some time. Keep hitting that park until it is dry my friend from California.

Dan, your wilver streak is going and going, buddy. I don't think it will ever end!

I have never seen anyone as good as you are, my good friend from SoCal!

Stick with your SE and you should come out a winner every single trip. Now, get back out there and extend that ridiculously high, wilver digging streak! :icon_sunny:

That '42 Merc of the left looks as if it just came from the mint!!! Awesome finds, Captn! thumbsup

Larry

Thanks, Larry!! That coin actually has some black markings on it, but it would clean up real nice.

Thanks, Rob. I'm always wondering how I would do at other parks in your area too. I did really well at a park in Iowa last year. I would love to take a road trip to different old parks around the states just to see if I could dig up a bunch of oldies. That would be lots of fun! Give your local park a try. You might be surprised what's still there!

Hey, thanks Kyle!!

I'm starting to lose count now. Am I up to your age yet? ;D ;D
I'll be giving it my best. Digging 40+ 9-10" plugs in hard packed/dry ground has given me a tremendous workout and some stiff muscles. I'll try to get back out there later in the week.
Keep the Passion High, my friend from PA!!

Those are nice Capt.

The SE is getting super popular ever since you have came onto the site. You made ML alone a millionaire. And your not doing to bad yourself lol.

I may add a SE into the collection. I have alot of sites and it may pay to have another great unit. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Jer!!

I wish I could meet up with you and compare some signals together. That would be awesome!! It would have been cool to have you sample some of my diggable targets yesterday. They were deep!! My buddy who was using an Exp. II with the 1050 coil had a hard time locating my signals, and he's a 200+ silver guy this year so far.

Yes, the popularity of the Explorer series has really boomed on this site. It has also boomed on my local CA forum too. Minelab is a greedy company. They don't pay anyone who's been asked to test their prototype machines. Not a cent. But they did give me some freebies for sending in a pic to their site.

Wow!!! Captain Procoil! You are beaming them up!
Been thinking about trying a procoil on the Quattro. You certainly are making good use of yours on the SE.
YOU DA MAN!

Thanks, Mark! I haven't seen anyone put one on a Quattro yet. Should work great!! My buddy hunts with a Quattro in Ferrous mode, and sometimes cannot hear a nice fluty high tone on one of my deepies because of the mineralization in the soil and the tendency of deeper coins to "bounce" around the smartscreen. His signal on that same target starts off low, then high, then low...a mix of tones. I think you would definitely improve your abilities by purchasing a used Exp. II/XS with a sunray probe. They're a little cheaper now that the the E-trac is starting to show.

I have been using a 5" sunray coil on the Quattro. In crowded ground it sure makes a difference. Picked up an 1885 Indian Penny withing about 15 minutes of starting with it. In ground I had hunted many times with another detector, and with the slimline on the Quattro.

Been hearing many good things about the procoil. You are the posterchild!

Thanks
Mark
