Found this Minie in the Ozarks last week. It’s .54 caliber, 28 grams and 438 grains. Wondering if it’s Civil War or reproduced. Only white was inside the hollow. Almost looks too new to be that old

Its unfortunately a modern black powder bullet. Someone else might chime in. Welcome to T-net :icon_thumright:

Welcome aboard T-Net from Northern Virginia :skullflag: it appears you have a modern minie.

Your welcome , Rich & Shelly & Merry Christmas .

Where are you from? You said Ozarks so I was thinking Missouri or Arkansas. It is sadly a modern bullet. I’ve found them before. I’ve even found modern reproductions that are sold at the battlefields around here that were lost or some jerk threw it out trying to spoof us detectorist.
