First off, doesnt look like smokey quartz.

Second, if that is a light bulb for reference, how is this 50 pounds.

What you have is a doorstop, something to keep your car from rolling back when you jack it up...
 

Agreed, not smoky quartz. No value at all. Quartz crystals have value when they are perfectly formed and terminated specimens. This is just a chunk that likely broke out of a seam and has been river tumbled. If it was collected in a gold producing region, I'd break it open and inspect it for possible gold inclusions.

It’s quartz in its ‘massive’ form. Also known as its most common form.

A crystal is different, and has all the shapes and look of what we think of as a crystal. Facets, clarity, points, ect.

You have a rock.

Whole mountains are made of quartz in its massive form.
 

First,an attaboy for packing out a 50 lb.rock. Second,no need to go postal because it,s not what you thought. You asked a question,you got an answer. These are knowledgeable people who answered you.If you disagree,there,s a civil way to do so.
