Although I missed todays hunt I wanted to post this video for everyone to see. These are the guys I go with all the time in the woods, water and underwater. They all work hard today was a day we all hope we can have someday, today was Johns turn.

How were the four gold coins lost? I believe this was a genuine cache. We all know it was not unusual to see treasures of this high value buried for safekeeping. The dates of these coins imply they were buried at about the time of our Civil War. Perhaps a Union soldier buried his life savings as he went off to war, but he never returned home. We'll never know the exact details, of course, but certainly behind the mystery is a tragic story.

No unfortunately its not my find and I wasn't there. These are my hunting friends and one of them does the videos "Detectorcomparisons". I saw the pictures as soon as John found the coins. I asked them if they minded me posting the video here on Tnet and they said go for it. I actually am pretty sure John IS a member here but he hasn't gotten back to me about that. We live easily 100 miles apart so its not unusual we don't all go on the same hunts. Ill get back and let you know if he is/is not a member as soon as I find out. Hope there was no confusion about me not being the one that found them, it was in the narrative in the first post.

I spoke to John today and unfortunately he is not a member of Tnet. I was sorry to hear that.
