20210216_163001.jpg just trying to save what I can from this spot....watched them haul off treasure filled sand all day....finally got one toward the end of the day right on the edge of US1 !! 20210216_194635.jpg20210216_194644.jpg
So should I clean it up for jewelry piece or leave it be ?? Its right where it should be for a 4 reale...13.7 grams !! 20210216_194732.jpg
I will keep it up as long as I can....there can't be but 2 more days of hunting before everything is sealed up until the next cat 4-5 hurricane 20210216_132301.jpg

That sand berm in the middle is good treasure bearing material.....it will be sealed off from detecting until mother nature says different !! Locked under a carpet of brick. Workers have been great to us....giving us every chance possible to get some spanish treasure !! Today when I got to work everyone looked at me and said what are you doing here....you should be treasure hunting while you can....so I left work at noon and was at the spot hunting all afternoon !! So glad to have the support from my boss....hurry up and get down there and get some treasure is all he said !! Happy hunting folks !!

No marks...silver ring....2 feet from cobb....simple design. This all leads me to believe its treasure wreck related. I could be wrong but I've never seen an un marked silver ring in today's day and age....if it ain't marked 925...its usally not silver.

Wow....its cleaning up great !!20210217_080234.jpg20210217_075931.jpg

Blak Bart,

Definitely awesome recoveries - congratulations on a well deserved banner. I believe you mentioned in your earlier post that truckloads of sand was being trucked away. Did you find out where they are dumping the sand and if so, do you intend to detect the dump site. I would think it would be a perfect detecting opportunity. Good luck with your hunts. Walt

now that is one amazing site you got going..real treasure on a daily basis!
Who can argue with that. Keep those awesome silvers coming!

Start getting into the fresh gold drops, you need more sir, I mean more gold to melt.
The way your going you'll have a different one to wear for each day of the week.
Sweet looking silver Bart. Congratulations to you.

Good lord there still coming ironhorse !!

Imagine you are a Flagler worker building the overseas railroad, you take a break by the water and start skipping flat stones-reales! Didn't have a clue.

It sure would be sweet if you could get that silver ring authenticated as being 18thc Bart. :occasion14:

If it proves to be from that period, you should have it restored and wear it proudly.

Congrats on your finds and on detecting a construction site that most of us would've simply passed over. :notworthy:

I cannot confirm.....nor deny that it is of the time period....it goes into a box with a couple other possible spanish treasures !!

Hmmmm....or I could clean it and see if a mark shows up ?

Really amazing finds!!! How did you clean the cobs to look so good in 20 minutes?
