This church was my 2nd stop today.
There wasnt much to detect
because its mostly cement and
asphalt driveway.Anyways I dug
a 1958D wheat and this pin also.
The back of the pin reads KG LUKE MELB.
I tried a search but no luck.HHs

Nice finds Randy! The pin is probably souvenir from the 1956 Melbourne Australian summer olympics, manufactured by the KG Luke company. HH, Mike

Thanks for the info mike.I looked into
it and they did make alot of medals
and stuff for the olympics but didnt
come across the stick pin though.
At least it gives me an idea of who,
what, when and where. Thanks again HHs

I tried to find some information on the KG LUKE company. Most of the items I was finding ranged from 1940's to 1970's with most being privately minted coins/medallions, buttons, and military badges. I couldn't seem to find anything along the lines of what you have. A site I found, if I am understanding it right, says in 1976 the company basically went defunct:

BUT I did manage to find that pin for sale, whether it is a copy im not sure...
