enlarging your photo, your penny appears to be a 1934-D, not a 1914. Better luck next time. (Helpful hint - warm water, soap, and a soft toothbrush is pretty helpful on wheat pennies)

This was identified by my local club as a key date coin. I was pretty excited to hear my little penny is worth a little bit. You never know and I'm sure thankful to the clubs I am in. You all have identified countless pieces for me. Any help in cleaning this up??
great save, reminds me I need to clean and check my wheaties.

Nice save even though it's a 1934D.

Maybe the club needs to arrange a few optometrist appointments in the near future 🤔

I can see the "19" fine, but I can't really make out either of the last 2 digits. 🤓 (and still squinting)

Ok it's not too late to dial for the eye test appointment.

It's not a bucket listing event.

How bout this for great advice….
If there is a small vdb under the shoulder, it’s a 34…. If not, then it’s a 14.
That being said, you’d see the date easily, making my great advice useless.

Thanks I seem to need more advice anyway!!!
