I very rarely post anything, but for me this is a pretty good find. After over 40 years of detecting you begin to see how hard it is to find something really rare. So yesterday, after doing some work around the house, I figured I had enough time to get out to a wheat field that was harvested and used to have a town hall in it in the late 1800's. I found a seated dime, a V nickel and 6 IH there a couple of days before and the place is loaded with iron and has big power lines beside it so I used my minelab and dug the usual trash. After an hour or so it really looked like rain so I headed back to the car and found a IH penny on the way. Got home, rinsed it off and wow. I then had my wife look at it because my eyes are not that great and because it is not in that good of condition. Maybe now I really can finish that IH penny book!
