1873 S2 double die IH penny

now I have 2 coin dealers who confirmed my IH penny is a 1873 S2 double die? yes!!!!!!!!!!

XF_AU condition even though its green ? i,b,e,r,t,y doubled? take a close look at the "r"

pictur # 2 is an extreme close up and shows marks that you cant see regularly.

PS - It really helped to copy the image into Word so I could enlarge the view. The doubled 'R' is very clear when magnified in this way. Outstanding find!!!

P.S. this coin is gonna Western and Eastern Treasures best finds magazine in april... its seems as though they saw it clearly!!

thank you very much.... I still havnt got my copy yet but my friend just called me told me what the story said... W & E must have had someone appraise the find for them he said the article said its worth 3000+ thats awsome!! I never send in a value to them. its worth a little more than I thought!! yeah baby!!

im new but i can say that indian heads seem different to me,,, at my favorite spot ive gotten 6 of them,, on one side of the pond i got about three quarters of the coin,, and the other side of the pond,, a beautiful 1891, im still scared to clean,, slight greenish tint but its a real beauty,, green 1 mass,,,,,,,,

Very nice indian head pennies! You must be a good metal detector!
