Excellent finds there JD! The spot you speak of where they were found sounds "most excellent" too!

J.D. I always enjoy hearing your treasure hunting stories. Nothing short of thrilling. I've had my good days, but none so sweet as the ones you describe. Keep it up. Keep on telling us about your hunts.

Great coin! They do come out of the ground in good condition depending on the type of soil, moisture, acidity, etc. I dug some pretty old coins that looked very good and I've dug some that look like they had been buried in fertilizer. I look forward to seeing some of your other finds. Keep swinging! Jim Cal

thanks guys do any of you have any advice on how to keep it from corroding further its is very green but i'm starting to notice corrosion on the edges? jd

Im sure conservator knows :) The r looks more doubled than the rest, strange.

If it is worth some bucks you might want to think about getting it graded and slabbed by a grading service such as PCGS or ANACS. Awesome find!! HH

Very nice!
I would be proud to own those.
Thanks for sharing the pics.
I love finding vintage coins like that especially in that kind of condition.

Hey JD.... Those are some great coins green and nice....Those 70's are great coins to find the best of the bunch ....Hopefully the 1877 pops out...Keep on Digging ! Seeker

thanks seeker I'd probably haver a heart attack ifhats my I found an 1877 tHATS my dream coin

JD that is awesome, I also have found a few Indians in great shape. Most of the time they are pretty corroded. Probably due to fertilizer products. Hey JD we need to get a another hunt togather soon. Tsgman
