Went back to the token foundation today. We hunted for 3 hours without much luck- I was ready to go and my buddy said 5 more minutes, which works every time. I slowed down and worked through the junk. For the next hour I picked up a bunch of signals. Got a 59 on the at-pro with a bunch of chatter. Dig it up and I see a very small silver coin- big smile because I knew is was my first trime 1852. My next signal was the same and I see silver again. This one image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegis bigger. Out of the hole, it's a dime size, very worn and thin coin. 1 reale maybe? Picked up some buttons and buckles. Glad we did 5 more minutes.

Yep, I was thinking Spanish Silver also

Congrats on the Trime
With a number as low as 59,, I was thinking something else might have been in the hole with the Trime. The 1852 composition of the 3 cent piece was 75% silver, 25% copper. The silver content was raised to 90% in 1853.
Having used an AT PRO for a few years,, I would have thought that a coin that was 75% silver would have come in with a higher number than 59. I probably would have missed that coin. Well done
