Not quite the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow on St Patty's Day, but a close 2nd. I took a trip to the old seminary built in the 1850's that i'd found another seated coin at. Got a nice solid coin signal on my MXT and dug about 6 inches down and stuck my pinpointer down in the hole and saw a glint of silver

John,

That is a super find...W :o W! What a beauty! ;D

;) RR

A great looking coin to pull out of the ground!!!!!!!! That thing is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO very nice ;D ;D ;D

Great coin. Definately in the AU range and worth over $100 min. Don't have my Red Book handy, but I know those seated are out of my price range so I'm hoping to get a few in my lifetime. That one is one for the ages. Awesome.

wow! that the best conditioned coin I have seen come out of the ground in a long time, if ever!

That find alone paid for your detector! I still remember when Silver Zeus recovered an 1859 Seated half in an old picnic grove.

If you didn't dip it or anything end it to PCGS or NGC. If you did clean it send it to NCS, the 'problem coin' branch of the NGC.

Cool find! I got an 1850 a couple weeks ago, my first. I usually get half-dimes and dimes.Yours looks to be what they call Almost Uncirculated! Type in the type of coin and date and a grading website will pop up!
TENNESSEE HAWK :o
