Hi everyone, i got permission to search a circa 1810 farmhouse this week I was searching it today
and after digging lots of clad coins i got a penny reading at 4 1/2 inches pulled out a copper coin
and i used some water on a rag to get some detail so i'd have an idea of what i had i searched a
while longer drove home and i was ready to post it in the Coin Forum but decided to get my
Redbook out and there it was in "Post Colonial Issues"
1787 NOVA EBORAC Reverse, Seated Figure Facing Right
my oldest and best find of the year............so far :) i'm not sure if their's a date under the crud
and i'm afraid to clean it anyone know if it's a common coin ? or is it a rare one ?
any T Net people ever dig one of these ?

But our coins in OUR collections have the history of where they were lost, and sometimes a good idea on even who lost the coins and relics..................We have true pedigree coins!
Don, So true !!!!!

Congrats again Mike, great find !!!

Oh keep that siste to yourself as long as you can, good luck on Mon.!!!! :icon_king:
Thanks Again Country Girl king lol i guess i did'nt say it right i recieved permission
on monday the 6th and i found the coin on the 8th and i definitly can't handle doing well, i
said 6 acres but it's more like 20 or more acres too much for 1 person right the reason is.....
the day i approached the owner and asked his reply was " I'm not allowing ANYONE on my
property right now " :( but after a little talking he said ok :) so i was hesitant to ask "can i bring
a few friends too" for proof of permission he gave me 2 phone numbers and i gave him my
name, address, ph number, and wrote i won't hold him liable for any injuries he said oh, that
helps and he said " i'd just like to >look< at what you find " well, other than the copper and after
8 more hrs. all i have been finding is clad coins and trash thats 2 1950's homes and a 1812
farmhouse clad coins and trash everywhere like i said "LUCK" was really on my side that day
who knows maybe the developer will say bring your friends OR no because of liability time will tell

i'm gonna find now is clad and trash :( the whole property was re - landscaped except the fields and
i'm not sure when that was done i'll find out though and the ground is terribly dry here this probably
was a "Once in a Lifetime" find for me Now, i'm hoping someone else on T Net digs one of these up
