🥇 BANNER 1778 Spanish 8 reales

I had a amazing hunt today with some friends at a new cellar hole property. We all did very well and all went home with old coppers and old silvers. My find of the day and i still cant believe i found one is a 1778 mexico city mint 8 reales. I never thought i would get one of these. It was a good signal but i had to work for it under tree roots. I knew what it was though as soon as it. It is in great shape and the pictures don’t do it justice at all. Thanks for looking! [emoji2][emoji106]

Thank you. Im going to leave it as is. In hand its nice and shinny already. Especially on the one side. All it got was a quick water rinse when i made it back home. My buddy got a 1785 one reale at the same spot but on the opposite side of the cellar hole and it was completely black. Heres his after he got home...

Iv'e seen people metal detecting for years and years in america and some of them never find a uncut 8 Reale in their lifetime so this is an Awesome find!

Thanks again everybody for the kind comments and since i finished up taking the kids out halloween trick or treating ill post some final photos. They still don’t do it justice but i tried my best. Too many possible angles that look good! [emoji2]

You earned it. No other filling then pulling out a big 8 out that hole. I still look at my 1829 Spanish Mexican 8 Reales everyday. Funny thing is I found mine in a sidewalk strip in the middle of town in from of a lawyers office. And I was even early in the morning it was in the middle of the day. Here when you’re driving and something tells you to hit it you hit it. What a truly great day that obviously I’ll never forget just like you will never forget the first suck and you laid your eyes on it in your hand touched it. Congratulations again

P.S. don’t you love that size and weight in your hand?:laughing/7

Yes sir it’s just like gambling once you’ve won $10k winning $3k just isn’t enough. You are know down with a real sickness an obsession to find just one more 8. That feeling will haunt you.
