1733 8 reale

I found this beauty in January of this year. It came from a new land site in the fl keys where survivors of the 1733 fleet disaster made landfall and camped. I now know where these babies live. The even rarer 1732s should also be here. The coins I have found on this site are in great condition because they have been buried above the high tide line. I will post pics of some of the other cobs that I have found here as soon as I can.

when I found it looked pretty darn good even before I cleaned it.

That's awesome! I soooooo want to dig a cob and do exactly that with it. Your mount is wonderful, I love the garnets. They add a very nice touch.
