1700's Admiral Rodney cufflinks

I don't think yesterday was a total washout for me after all folks. Kirk,Kyle and I detected at the bountiful site again and Kirk found his Canadian Fishscale. I found a set of colonial cufflinks that have been preliminarily been identified by our good friend Ironpatch as being most likely bearing the name and likeness of a Lord Rodney. British commander from the early 1700's to late 1700's. I do see the letters ROD on the top left. I plan on doing more research on this fact when I get back from a walk with my wife. My dog is also looking longingly at her leash. Enjoy everyone.

Nice find on the links. I hope that you find out some more information about it. It is very interesting to think that someone of that stature may have been in the same field that you are now hunting. Gotta wonder how they came to rest in that field. That is really cool history.

I can't resist bringing this up. Does everyone remember when Kirk threw away the colonial cufflink and went garbage picking the next day to find it? Try to remember not to throw these away Chris.

That's a pretty cool find! 8) I saw some similar that had George Washington on them, that's what I was hoping they were. Anyway I give them two thumbs up!
