1699 William III Halfpenny and 1749 George II Farthing

Hello T'Netters. Went back to a old favorite site yesterday. No more easy pickings but still goodies to be found if you work at it. Six hours of swinging the coil produced only a couple of non ferrous finds but they were worth the effort.

Found the 1749 George II farthing first. It cleaned up pretty well.

A couple of hours and many iron targets later I dug the 1699 William III Halfpenny. Did not know what I had until I cleaned it when I got home. Really pleased it gave up a date, and pretty thrilled with the "16" part of the date.

Incredible finds! I couldn't even begin to imagine what it would be like to find coins that old! Some people find them almost every hunt, and that blows my mind. Great work! Love it!
