1661 Spanish Cob... Found in PA

Ok so my buddy and I went out today to a area thats known for King George Coppers and i Found this. Its a 1661 1 Reale Spanish Cob... It was about 9 inches Down... Thanks

Nice cob! Oldest coin ? hardly. Hundreds of Greek and Roman coins have been found all over the US. I live in the west and have found 2 Greek (oldest 225 BC) and one Roman. I have heard and read about many ancient finds.....

Yeah that's a question that doesn't mean much without context because someone can lose an ancient coin today and it be found tomorrow, and is that really a big deal. The oldest silver coin found on one of my sites was from the 1300s, but the site dated no earlier than the early 1700s.

Yeah that's a question that doesn't mean much without context because someone can lose an ancient coin today and it be found tomorrow, and is that really a big deal. The oldest silver coin found on one of my sites was from the 1300s, but the site dated no earlier than the early 1700s.

They found some coins from the late 1400's-1500's in the town next to me during an excavation of a Native-American fort.

cause the guy was Finding Silver dimes from 16 inches down with his Whites XLT

Come on man - 16"? If you can detect a dime at 16", I'd imagine you'd hear your own belt buckle.

Some people Just dont realize what the XLT can do.... LOL maybe if you get 1 and work with it and tweak it just right... YOU WILL HAVE THE BEST MACHINE OUT THERE.... Maybe not for the Beach but For everything Else.
