Hi all having a cold winter down under and been a little busy to post my finds.About 2 weeks ago i went to site of a local swim hole along the local creek.Made few trips to the site and found a few interesting relics. Silver coin or medal age and origin unknown.Any ideas ???
Pewtercandle snuffer circa 1890
Silver pocket watch damaged
Swimming medals cira 1950's
3 pre 1900 bottles

Man, is that coin a nice one! Here, we get the old ones usually holed, I would try and get the solder removed, if possible. You have been posting some really interesting stuff, keep it up!

Depending on the make up of the solder, you might have a good chance of getting it off. Try no more that a 40 watt soldering iron. The coin is already ruined as a collectors piece, it's worth a shot. Bet it comes right off. Good luck.
