Today is day nine for me......feeling better....but still way back in the woods. My other 1/2 cannot get out of bed, coughed all nite, chills, sweats, headache....she is on day six.....is no fun for sure.

I hope she gets better. So the vacccine really didn't help.

Why would you jump to that conclusion? There's no way to tell how sick she would have been without it. But if it's this bad after receiving a vaccine, it's more likely it would have been even more severe without the vaccine.

Vaccine helped me with the Delta Variant, I never got it when neighbors and friends around me did and it helped me with the Omicron as the worst part only lasted 4 days for me, but I had also just had the booster 2 weeks prior.

I have friends who had not had any vaccinations and it lasted 10 days before it let up for them, they got vaccinated as soon as the doctor told them it was okay.

I understand why John isn't planning the picnic and fully support him not wanting to spread the virus to other people and their families.

It had to be. I almost never get a temperature, and I had one that night.

Everybody is free to make their own choices. Life is a risk. I have more chance of dying from DCS than I do from the China virus, but I still make deep scuba dives.

How can you say that with such certainty? You sound like Dr. Falsi. A lot of people get the China virus and have no symptoms.

Then don't state things as fact that aren't. I stated facts. Everybody is different and responds to the China virus differently. That's why a one-size-fits-all Dr. Fauci style approach is ludicrous.

Actually, the virus comments are relevant since the picnic is not being held because of the virus.

The OP John is the one who canceled the picnic because of the virus.

What I can do is lock this thread, when Jhn decides it is safe to hold the next picnic he can start a new thread since this thread was originally 2019.
