11 For 11 & 12 For 12!! 7 Silver ~ 2 Washingtons, 2 Mercs, 3 Rosies.

Hello My Friends!!

I am happy to say that my consecutive silver streak remained alive today, making 12 straight hunts so far with the SE Pro Coil. I decided to head over to a park that I've had the most luck at this year for the oldies. It never ceases to disappoint me. I'm in disbelief when I think that today I recovered my 89th silver coin from this park alone this year. Last year, I didn't pay much attention to this park(only 2 silver) because I had so many other parks that I was finding the oldies in. I couldn't have asked for a better 3 hr. hunt today. I was hearing plenty of deep fluty sounds with the SE, and ended up with 5 silver(1 '47 Washington, 2 Mercs('26, '45), 2 Rosies('53, '61)), and about 6 Wheaties. Last week at nearly the same area of the park, I was able to find 2 Silver ('47D Washington, 1 '56 Rosie), and 6 Wheaties. I left them "biting" today, and headed home to beat the freeway traffic. Note: the scratch across one of my mercs was not caused by my initial recovery, but by my second recovery from the garbage disposal sink drain.

I can't wait to try for 13 for 13!!

That Pro Coil has taken things to another level this year Dan! Ever since you got it, it's post after post of silver finds! As soon as I can cough up some money, I'll have to get one of those!

I ran into a Newbie this morning 7:30 A. He was out with his SE with the pro coil. It was his first time and he was getting seriously frustrated. He had not read his his manual as he can not read english. Nor had he looked at his video that came with his machine. I thought of you and what you might have done. I do not have the same machine mine is an ACE250. What I did is to locate coins and then had him go over them with his machine until he was beginning to understand the tones that he was hearing. Using this method I was able to help him as best I could. I just felt that that something that you would have done. I just know if he keeps with it he will do well. I told him that he had one of the best machines made and that he needs to trust him machine as it will not lie to him. If it indicates a coin there is one there it is his job to find it.
I also gave him information regarding a detectors club locally that he could also get help from some of the members.
Congratulations for your continuing finds I follow each of them. The only silver I have found is a 1943 WL Half. I will keep going you are inspiring.

Thanks, HappyHenry!! There's a lot of newbies with Explorers right now. Some will catch on faster than others. Yes, read the manual and know your machine. The fastest way to learn the Explorer is to go out with an experienced Explorer user who can show you what a deep signal sounds like. If that's not possible, then get out there yourself and put the hours out in the field, digging targets to build a memory bank of the various tones. The more hours you spend out in the field, the better you will become. Just because you buy a $1500 set of golf clubs doesn't mean you're going to start shooting in the 70's. Same for the Explorer.....practice, practice, practice!

Keep at it!! If you can find a Walker, there's more silver hiding for sure!!

More excellent finds, Dan! I just seem to keep coming across Mercs lately. Found another one (a 1942D) on Saturday, but they're just coming one at a time and not on every hunt like you. Maybe you need to just let me borrow your SE w/the pro coil for a while and let me do some damage.

Thanks, Ray! So, I guess you're doing alright with the occasional silver. I know you probably want to find more. You gotta find a nice old park somewhere. Plenty of deep targets at these places if you've got the machine to find them.

Thanks, Ricardo. Just got back from my hunt today, hoping to score at least one silver to continue my streak. I did it!! I managed to find 1 Rosie, 6 Wheats. So the streak continues.
