$100 star notes

Are new $100 star notes worth more than face value? I have found two in that last two weeks. One has a serial number that's starts with 00.

Google has all the answer. But to answer your question, yes even the new ones can be worth money, and the serial number does not necessarily have to be low either. It all determines on how many were produced in the run. Could be as many 3,200,000 in a run or as few as 320,000 per run.
