if I wanted to find rings where would be the best beach in Oregon that I would have the most luck of finding at the least one ring? Thanks so much for the help
Hello,
I am in a situation that I can not seem to find a good solution for. Since I began metal detecting I have collected quite a few coins now, some are very big (37mm) and some very small and fragile.
What I had initially planned was to keep the coins in albums within coin sheets. So I...
Paid 25-cents for 91-cents - CASH. Here's how...
Today, I paid 25-cents for a shamrock-shaped wooden trivet that has embedded 91-cents in coins. A Half-dollar, quarter, dime, nickel, penny. All dated 1930 except for 1965, 50-cent piece. The center commemorative plate: "Margie; Happy 50th...
I know a guy who has around 500 raw Trade Dollars. I know for a fact there are a pair of the 1878-cc in there (Not a 1878-cc Morgan. This is an 1878-cc Trade Dollar which are extremely rare) that are around AU as I have examined both.
He is an older guy and extremely savy. He used to go to...
Just north of Highway 38 in Mentone, east of an orange grove, there's what appears to be an old abandoned facility, possibly military given there are what appear to be bunkers on-site.
And this is also inside part of the San Bernardino wash, along the Santa Ana River. This area could yield a...
Here's a short video from when I was out metal detecting with a couple of friends on their farm land permissions. I was detecting with my Garrettt Ace 250, my friends were using their Tesoro and Blisstool detectors. I personally didn't really find much to shout about as can be seen in the...
First post - apologies if this has not been set out correctly.

Was out on a field/meadow today. Dug up a 1872 Newfoundland "largie" in one spot then dug a 1943 Newfoundland "smallie" in another. Today was a good day. :headbang::headbang::headbang:
Here's a short video of my second ever trip out with my Garrett Ace 250. I discriminated against a lot of iron signals so reduced my trash a lot and found my first coins along with some undamaged cork top bottles and a nice lead toy aeroplane. The video is clips of most of my finds with a...
Hi,
My father is looking to buy a metal detector to use in beaches (salty water) in hopes of finding coins and jewelry.
We live in Israel so it's sunny most of the time and humidity is relatively high, though most of the hunting will probably be conducted during the winter, which isn't very...
Is anyone else going to the Texas Gem, Mineral, and Coin Show in Grapevine in September 2015? They are currently selling booths for $250 for a regular booth or $300 for a corner booth. There is also a $2.00 entry fee for customers but it will be free on one of the days. Email...

Hi, I'm new here. My first day. I have around 300 MEDALS/CROSSES/PENDANTS/CHARMS dating back to I believe 1700's. I was hoping to make some friends here as I've been coin collecting for years and now I am currently getting into religious items. Please leave any input on what medals are the...
Reading around here and thinking to myself about historical currency (hard metals) and modern currency (paper and electrons). In 100 years, what will people have to search for? I mean, all my "wealth" is just a number in a computer somewhere. The stuff I keep around me might fetch five figures...
Just got an AT Pro and headed to the beach. Still figuring out the machine, it seems every minute I spend with it I learn something new. Found some coins (can't make out any of the dates on the pennies), some pull tabs, a barrette, a squashed metal something, and... A GUM WRAPPER!
Looking...
Hey, guys! It's been a while since I've posted here on TreasureNet and when a friend of mine asked me for help in identifying a coin she had, I told her that I knew exactly the place to go to with all of the treasure enthusiasts and collectors on this site. I've been trying to do my own research...
Not long ago I bought this lot for $18.
I waited a week and here it is!
1942 D Merc
1938 D Merc
1961 Quarter
Did I score getting this for $18?
And what do you people estimate these are worth?
Give me your opinions.

The "treasure" I'm referring to isn't necessarily what you think. I'm not talking about a chest full of Spanish doubloons or some bloodthirsty pirate's booty, but rather a small collection of assorted coins that were lost many years ago. The story goes, as my Dad tells it, something like this...
Some fun stamps that'll make you smile PLUS a few old coins
I'm dying to know the value of these guys, but more importantly I'm interested in just how unique/rare they are. I have many more to post, so this will most likely just be the tip the iceberg.
Thanks for taking a look!
Adam
