I was hoping someone could help me identify these. The only thing I have found even close to them are boiling stone . But these are not shaped correctly and larger. I found them in a creek bed within approx 5 feet from each other below a shelter. And feed back or ideas would be greatly...
Hi all, looking for some help with identifying this artifact. I found it in a plowed field at my grandfathers, very close to the old sea to the mountains Indian trail in NC. I'm guessing for sharpening, my brother thinks for steel, I think perhaps bone. Neither one of us is by no means expert...
Had a very strong signal and got the clock movement housing and next to it was a car ignition switch cylinder also, go figure ! The round brass item looks like it could have had several uses. Started the hunt late today because of the heat and humidity so my hunt was even shorter than usual...
Found this very heavy dolphin artifact today! Wonder what its uses were?
Wild shot in the dark, "Flipper" used as a pipe tamper ??? It does fit into my fingers perfectly when nose down.
I don't usually post my detector finds because they're mostly clad and junk but this I thought was a little bit interesting. It's definitely an old oven gas valve, but it has a swastika on it. It looks to be from the same time period that the Nazis would have existed. Could this be a Nazi...
I found this stone in a river where we often see Indian artifacts. It has a pattern that is ground down about 1/4"-1/2" with real straight smooth lines . The pattern goes around the corner of this somewhat squarish stone and all the edges are absolutely smooth and connected.
I would appreciate...
I picked up a set of Civil War artifacts at a garage sale and these boots were a part of it. I couldn't seem to find any information online about them so I thought I would try here.
They seem to be made of ceramic or clay. They have no visible identifying markings on them.
Attached are images of a Roman ring I recently acquired at an artifact show. Upon looking at it further, in my opinion it appears to be a seal ring. My first question, is it a seal ring? If so, can anyone identify what the seal may represent?
Secondly, I'm estimating the ring be from the second...
I found what looks like it could have been an axe head or celt about a week ago near the Catawba River in North Carolina. I am pretty new to this and have no idea what I'm talking about lol. Any suggestions/advice?

Found this website and was excited to see a place to post artifacts etc for others to comment. Here are two items that I have found in the past few years in the Central Texas area. The large rock with the incised criss-cross lines is about 9" l x 7" w x 2.5" d. Lots of use and wear to all...
Hi I found this strange stone-like artefact in the Channel Islands, and was wondering if anyone could help identify it or even a time period?
It is approximately 5" x 3.5" and an inch and a quarter thick.
It is stone like, heavy but not as heavy as you would expect a beach stone to be.
Apart...
I used to collect rocks when I was younger, but for some reason
I have always held on to this little mystery for all of these years.
The rock is perfectly round and it seems to me that it is in fact
a rock inside of a rock! Because of the color change of the crescent
and round shapes. The...
I found it at a small antique shop, it is a small half-frosted cube with gold-leaf etchings on it. The etchings seem to be of Chinese origin. The cube is very rough, and seems to be hand carved. It was an a relatively old silk lined box when I purchased it. Sorry the photo is not the clearest...
Hey all, I'm a long time reader of treasurenet.com and I just recently joined. I'm currently enrolled as a gr11 student in my local high school in Brantford, and I really enjoy treasure hunting. I have a hard time getting out, seeing as I can't travel easily, and I don't have the money to buy...
Hey everyone !! I found this on a ruck march, I collect coins but this goes above my knowledge. It has a code arms or something on it, plus a small number 7 at the
bottom. Any help would be appreciated !
I was walking the beach yesterday and found a lot of metal showing up. (Strong NE winds and big waves.) We found this piece and it looked intriguing because it is metal and wood. My husband and father-in-law (a carpenter) looked at it. They thought it was part of a hinge. Someone suggested...
