Monogrammed small fire department hat

I went out today to the town of Leadville Colorado. It’s a beautiful place. Sure is fun to swing, this popped out so I thought I would share. I wonder if it is from a toy or a keychain? I think the letters are F V A. Maybe it is the fire chiefs initials Let me know if you have any information on this, thanks and happy hunting!!!

Usually in monograms the largest letter would be the last name. So your monogram would be either AVF, or VAF. Whether A or V is first is determined by which letter is "on top". Since your monogram is line engraving instead of block letters, you just can't tell. Gary

Very nice find. The letters AVF, could also be a local Fire Department initials. The letter A could be the town, and the VF could stand for Volunteer Fireman ? Just a thought.

Was that helmet style used in the Victorian era? It looks more modern than that.

Found another one. I don't think they are keychains because the holes would be worn. This one is blank. I am on the lookout for similar suspension medals. This one was found in Cripple Creek. I'm guessing it dates to about 1910ish
