I know, after the great coin yesterday, I was actually only planning to help a friend dig some aircraft bits (Mosquito). However, he had a heavy night & wanted rest, so when we went hunting in a massive field, we gave up & I sniffed out this area. The field is so big, without the narrowed search area (ie. the failed crop) we would have missed it. Luck was with us!!!

Of all the really cool stuff you and your Dad dig up ,the Roman relics right up to modern day junk, these Saxon finds are by far the most beautiful and interesting yet!
Continued success on that site, I'm sure you'll finding more great finds there in the future

Amazing finds...the carving on the gold brooch looks futuristic...even today! That large brooch is amazing and in amazing condition to boot!
