We did as much of the area that was available (ie. where the failed crop allowed), we need a deep plough & a winter hunt over the harvested crop area on each side.

Really cool finds!!

I need to get back to Blighty......!!!

What a great spot you discovered! I hope there is more around to be found.

Very nice finds yesterday Cru, I especially like that last brooch you have pictured! :occasion14:
Nice to hear your Dad's still able to keep up with you!

I wonder if I dug a hole in my back garden that I might find the same relics you guys do? :icon_scratch:
With my luck, I'd cut a plug and end up in my sewage tank! :laughing7:

I would never say keeping up, that's too far fetched. However, his habit of turning up something a little more special continues between his long periods of trash clearing.

Great finds mate, where do you find all these amazing places to hunt?

Years of building up relationships with lots of different farmers. I have done this land for about 5 years, & helped the farmers partner start up his detecting career. Its all about building up trust, if you need any tips about getting new land, let me know? But it's not as easy as we make it look. This is the best Brooches we have ever had in 50+ years of searching. So when you have done 50 years, you can picture the spoils.
