Oldest and best US coin so far - gorgeous 1832 half dime

This afternoon I went to a local park I'd been to a dozen times before, but I thought I'd go with my new detector (Gamma) and see if I missed anything. I got a slightly bouncy signal between 81-83 at 3 inches. I couldn't believe it when I saw what was in the plug. I forgot how tiny these things are, too! The rim nick was already there.

Prior to this the oldest and ONLY silver coin I found at this location was a 1957 Roosevelt. I'm pretty happy with my second silver from that field! First pics are what it looked like before a brief soak in soapy water. Looks like I need to soak a little more.

I was so excited I had to show it to a guy walking his Rhodesian Ridgeback.
