I started the day checking a local ball field and found the key ring with the USGI can opener on it. I then hit a park-like area adjacent to our local rodeo arena. I found the decorative piece of iron, the large horse-tack iron loop, and an interesting rosette. It is copper or brass and gilded, with some gold plate still showing. It has an intact screw attached to the back. Anyone chime in on if the rosette came of a piece of wooden furniture, or a wooden wagon or other rodeo-related equipment?
I then went to a big park in a nearby town and found the really nice Zippo lighter with the simulated scrimshaw artwork on it. I think I can restore it to functioning. It does not have a zip code stamped on it and is made in America, so maybe pre-1962? Any Zippo experts out there? I found a "rooster tail" fishing lure and finally, a really nice looking, very delicate and intact earring that dangles three loops with "diamonds" inside. There are six stones total on the earring. It rang up a solid 55 on the ATPro, FYI...
Just another eclectic grab bag of goodies for the ol' Subterranean today. Thanks for looking and happy hunting to all! Sub
