Your Dream Vehicle.

This has always been the one since I was in high school back in the early 70's. Tach was outside on the hood ( not on this one ), had his and her shifters ( with a key you can lock her out and leave the speed to yourself, big block engine, hurst shifter from the factory and 4:11 in the rear again from the factory.

If money or the environment weren't concerns, it would be a toss up between the Bentley Coupe, and the Aston Martin DB9 - but the way things are heading, I might opt for the Aptera electric/hybrid. 8)

I just saw something on those Aptera's... I think they are going to be for sale in 09 or 10.. Bit pricey though.

I had a 1970 AMC AMX for quite a while when I was younger.

That is probably the car I would want to replace if I could.
Of all the cars I have had, that one out performed everything else.
They made them for four years before they were Stylized and lost as a body style.
The first ones were the Javalin with 18 inches cut out of the middle behind the door.
(note the little tiny window)

These were 11 second cars right off the show room floor !
The newer ones with humps in the fenders just couldn't keep up.

The only one for me...
...power nothin', no a.c., factory 4-speed, and no radio - just the sound of that big lumpy 409. Plain.Simple.Fast. :icon_pirat:

A 1954 Willys Wagon with a 350 Chevy engine and a slush-0-matic tranny. (My dad was an auto mechanic, so I picked up some of the lingo from him.) It would get 65 miles per gallon - we're talking DREAM machine, right? It would be all decked out for desert driving and it would hold all my treasure hunting gear and a big ice chest. And whoever rode "shotgun" would actually have to hold a shotgun. It would have 16 inch wheels with 8 ply tires. It would be painted in desert camo and have tinted windows. The air conditioning would use freon. It would have a skid plate, a brush guard, lots of lights, and a winch. It couldn't go all that fast, but it would be easy to drive over the gravel roads in my favorite locations.

Something like this (but with a desert camo paint job):

I wanna hang with you girl !

I don't have a wagon,
but I do have a 54
Mine is an old CJ3B.
Maybe I'll bring it out and see what you think someday.
