You know you're having a bad day when

You get skunked on a penny box. Halfway through, I have 1/2 pound of copper (ie about a roll and a half, mostly 82s). No wheats, no canadians. There are String rolls but its mixed late 80s, 90s, 00s, new.

Looks like a dump, smells like a dump..but its machine rolled...

I'm sorry D: atleast you got copper? I docents but just for wheaties. Not for copper. I've never been skunked. D:

Sorry if you already know this but not all 1982 are copper. Some are zincolns.

Yup I'm weight them for 3.11ish, chucking 2.5s. Appears whoever was sorting them didnt bother with 82s.

I had a penny box like that one time a few months ago. and it wasn't a solid 2011 or 2012 box! 3 copper pennies at most, nothing else interesting. What you got was a penny dump so big being put into the counters and rollers that you got very little other coin mixed in (your roll and a half of coppers). Same reason why some half boxes are really really hot - a huge collection got dumped, enough so that any sampling size (1000 coins) contains a big portion of them

I believe that you might have my dumps lol, im too lazy to mess with the 82's

srry mate :( but hope you have good luck nex time

I was thinking the same thing. I dump all 82's

While I weight them and keep them I rolled them seperately from pre82s just in case one day im selling them and someone gives me the "those aren't copper" speech. Better than sorting them at time of sell.
