I got out to an old property today for a quick hunt. When I saw the bear come out of the dirt, I though I had the real deal.... It turns out, he's a troll.

Creepy Plated Bear - I can't find a mint mark.

Lead counter weight? - I thought it was a bale seal.... but it is blank and perfect.

Cool. What is on the reverse side of the bear? It looks like a wire of some sort

It had a pin on it, but it broke off when I was cleaning it. I think that wiry stuff is just moss or grass. :)
 

Yup, that's one creepy bear. I've found a few of those lead pieces like that, not sure what they were for.
