Yesterday's hunt turned up a Barber and a Butterfly

Most of the snow is gone up here but we're waiting on another small storm tonight. Yesterday afternoon I went hunting with a friend of mine and it turned out to be worth it. I was able to find a 1907 IH penny, 2 wheats- 1916 and 1913 no mintmarks, a 1913 Barber dime (no mintmark).

About 6 inches down I dug a realy faint chirp. I was trying to dig decent mid and high tones just to practice and this one was barely there- It's a little tiny enameled(?) butterfly pin over possibly brass with a "C" clasp. You can still see the reds and greens of the flowers on the tips of the wings. I have found a few pins at this spot and they all had that "C" clasp but Im not sure of the era.

I picked up the signal with an AT Pro using the smaller 5x8 Double D coil.

Nah, I love when people chime in. It takes a thread and brings it full circle teaching all of us on many different levels! This is a teaching forum too!
