The wind is blowing at @ 30mph and the pond is partly frozen so I ruled out fishing. This weather system seems like it may freeze the dirt until late May...I went to what I call my Bank Withdrawal Place to do a little Treasure Hunting...I enjoyed myself and found a little gold..Any one who knows anything about dry panning moist cons knows you are only going to get the pickers out of the pan...Yes I panned into a tub and will have to process the rest later...I had fun using my LRL ..Art

That last pic looks like Arizona but your description sounds more like the frozen north ??

Hey goldfinder...7 miles from Gardnerville Nevada..there is an ancient river bed there...art

Had to go over to my rental property to repair some wind damage....Since behind the back gate is a slow pitch baseball field I checked the dugouts...Not much there but the Dime is worth a little because of it’s silver content..

Hey goldfinder...When we get enough rain fall or snow the ground will freeze...All this storm seems to have is a lot of wind...Art

Wind - sounds like some people on this bored. We had some high winds here yesterday.

I applaud you efforts on LRLs. You mentioned you have 7 that work. Any specs on them or which manufacturers. I have built a few but never found anything. Had lots of fun testing them out. I do have one that I made using special optical processing. It finds and locates PGM mineral deposits but haven't found any free gold with it yet or treasures.

I own a Prospector and a Range Master made by Bob Yokun ( no longer made)..I have a Si Go made by Bob Fizgerald that I bought for one search because it would work in a backpack with a 4 inch rod...The one I use the most is an old Ranger Tell TG model...I like it because I can set the distance and depth of the target before I do my search...I got tired of following a signal for eight miles to only recover 3 flakes of gold. The other three were good and have been discussed on this board.

In the dugout I set a distance of 2 feet and a depth of 6 inch’s..That allowed me to only search an area 4 feet wide.
I have many frequencies for gold...Which one to use is the question..What works on one unit may not work on another...If you have the wrong frequency in the unit it will pick rings and rays...

I do own two home made VHF units that put out a lot of watts but can not by sold..Art
