Hi all, just returned from a hunt at the union camp site. This place has been fantastic . I pulled over 100 dropped bullets and many buttons but most had been damaged by plows . Today I returned thinking there was little left to dig but I figured I could swap machines and maybe find something left behind.
I was using my Etrac with good results and I brought my Sovereign Elite today to try it out. This is the first hunt I have had with this machine and she did real well . I dug 5 percussion caps which were missed and bullets ,button backs and the best find from this camp a Calvary coat button in nice shape! My first one and a coat button to boot with some gilt left. I also found my first J hook that is all there from this site. I love 70 degree weather in January. Thanks for looking and HH.

Papa Bear, wish we could have found this stuff before you left.Can't believe we walked all over it. One of the field workers asked me what a cannonball was worth . He said he found one but it is in rough shape.I assume he found it while the bulldozer went through.

Cleaned it up just a bit in water.I am scared to do much more to it. Found a GS coat button today and the property owner came by so I gave it to him.He said dig away over all his fields .Maybe I can find another hot spot in the next couple of weeks when I can get some hunting time together.
