Could be golden beryl or tourmaline also. In this case, there is absolutely no way to know from the pic.

You're right, could be heliodor or tourmaline or even topaz. It is virtually impossible to get a positive ID from pictures. I'm still stuck on apatite because I can't convince myself otherwise. As for value, I've bought similar size and quality apatite crystals for less than a buck a piece. If they are something else, they still probably aren't too valuable. I'd say hang on to 'em and enjoy them just like they are!

I called my brother and when I mentioned the word "Apatite", he said that's it. I was hoping for something better. I saved these rocks for 40 years. SOLVED
