melanie, nice finds, my yard yields similar stuff, except no silver coins yet, but TONS of aluminum foil. hope you do even better with the new machine

it’s crazy how much is in your own yard! I agree! Pretty sure most people buried their garbage years ago.. at least in my yard haha. Have fun!

I found that exact same brass ornamental latch yesterday. Some of the members on here IDed it as a escutcheon around from the late 1800s 1920s. There’s probably some good finds still in your yard!

Thanks, I hoping there is. We live right down from am old train station, so I hope to find something really good.

A Big Welcome to You to the Tnet forum from a Fellow Georgian. Nice save on some cool stuff from the yard. What detector did you upgrade to? My wife and I are from Newton County in Covingto Georgia, but are considering moving to the North Georgia mountains. 40 miles is too close to the Big A town.

Oops....I apologize for the double post. Don't know what happened here.

It looks like you might have a bell from an alarm clock.

Thanks for the welcome! We are about 50 miles to Savannah. I just bought a Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II. We go to the coast a lot.

I haven't thought of that. My husband thought it might be off an old phone.

Oh heck you in hogs heaven. Train station you got it made
